Welcome to North Central Florida

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes engages coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and sport.

Welcome to the North Central Florida Fellowship of Christian Athletes website.  We proudly serve 34 schools in seven counties in North Central Florida. Our vision is "to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches."  We do this through our four C's of ministry: coaches, camps, campus and community.

Coaches - "A coach can have more influence in one season than the average person can have in a lifetime," said Rev. Billy Graham. FCA serves and equips coaches to maximize their influence for Christ; to influence the influencers and see a generation of young people called and changed for God's glory.

Camps - FCA creates camp experiences that attract thousands of local coaches and athletes for a time of "inspiration and perspiration."  Research shows that more than 75 percent of young people who entered into a relationship with Christ before the age of 19 did so in a camp environment.  Sports allows FCA to bring thousands of student-athletes to camp to hear the greatest story ever told.

Campus - North Central Florida FCA has an active ministry presence in 27 local middle school, high school and college campuses. The FCA campus ministry is initiated and led by student-athletes and coaches through weekly Huddles (on-campus bible studies), Team Bible Studies, Coaches Bible Studies, and Chaplain Programs.

Community - Did you know that between the ages of 10-18 there are 5 times more student-athletes participating in community sports (travel, club, AAU, etc.) than participation in school sports?  Community sports is a key opportunity for FCA to reach coaches and athletes.

Chiefland recently hosted a Fields of Faith event which featured Pine Grove Baptist's Church Youth Band "AfterShock" as well as speaker Bobby Shriner, who is with the FCA wrestling program. Students and guests also used this time to hear testimonies from fellow students.

We had over 1,000 attendees from 22 schools at football camp this year. The boys got to play against other schools and went to chapel services, as well as had team bonding time. Many lives were changed throughout their few days at camp. Friendships and memories were made that will last a lifetime. A great time was had by all. We are looking forward to next year.
