Penny was born and raised in St. Clair, Michigan and grew up mostly in a farming community.  She participated in her local 4-H club, and then moved to Land O Lake FL in 1985.  She enrolled at PHCC in 1988 as a business major to further her accounting knowledge.   

In 1989, Penny moved to Inverness and joined Inverness Middle School in 2002 and got involved in the FCA program.   She transitioned to a bookkeeping position at the school in 2011 and became the coordinator for the program. 

Penny enjoys relaxing with her family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, and mentoring the youth in her community.
