Deonna Hamilton grew up in the Levy County area, attending Bronson schools from 4th grade through high school.  Deonna’s foundational years were shaped by Jesus and sports as both of her parents were coaches and prioritized Jesus in their home.  She took this foundation with her as she played basketball from the age of 6 through high school, earning area assist leader for 3 of her high school years.

During her time at Bronson Middle High School, she became the FCA middle school president.  In this role, she experienced the profound impact FCA had on her small campus, with nearly half the school attending club day meetings monthly and hearing the gospel.

Deonna graduated high school in 2014, becoming a coach for Soccer Shots for the next 10 years teaching children ages 2-8.  During this time, she also coached girls middle school basketball and middle and high school volleyball, ran children’s ministry at her local church, and led women’s discipleship groups in Williston and Gainesville, Florida.

In the fall of 2023, she graduated the University of Florida with her Bachelors in Family, Youth and Community Sciences.  Deonna has felt a call into ministry for some time, ultimately reconnecting with FCA and joining North Central Florida’s FCA staff in the spring of 2024.
